Debian Squeeze – Add beautiful icons to KDE

I’ve been running Debian Squeeze on my HP Mininote for the last 4 weeks and so far I haven’t jumped at upgrading to debian testing.  In fact, I’m quite happy on the current stable release and see no reason to change.

Part of what has made it possible for me to sit on the stable release is making it look pretty – well, pretty for me anyways. Here’s a look at what I’ve got – nothing too fancy just 2 main changes.  I’ve switched to the Androbit theme and added the beautiful and modern Faenza-Cuptertion icon theme.

Here’s how you can do the same.

Click K Menu – System Settings – Appearance – Icons – Get New Themes, find KFaenza in the list and click Install. Now close that window, select KFaenza and click Apply.

Next, lets add the Androbit theme, Click K Menu – System Settings – Appearance, in the Style domain click the Workspace tab – Get New Themes, Click Install on Androbit.  Now close that window, select Androbit and click Apply.

Cheers,

Steve
